Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit Course

9 Hours Total (7 Hours Classroom / 2 Hours Live Fire)

The Aegis Firearms Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit Course is designed to prepare responsible citizens for the lawful, safe, and confident carry of a concealed handgun. Whether you are applying for your first Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit or seeking a comprehensive understanding of firearm safety, state law, and responsible carry, this course provides professional instruction that exceeds simply meeting the state's minimum training requirements.

This comprehensive nine-hour course combines classroom instruction with live-fire range training to develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for responsible concealed carry. Students will receive instruction in firearm safety, handgun operation, ammunition, marksmanship fundamentals, conflict avoidance, the lawful use of force, and the legal responsibilities associated with carrying a concealed handgun in Louisiana.

Prerequisite:

None. While not required, students with little or no handgun experience are strongly encouraged to complete the Aegis Basic Handgun Course before attending this class.
