The Aegis Women's Basic Handgun Course is beginner-friendly course and no prior firearms experience is required. The course is designed to provide women with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills necessary to safely and effectively operate a handgun. Whether you are a new firearm owner or looking to improve your existing skills, this course offers a supportive, professional learning environment focused on safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and responsible firearm ownership.

This comprehensive six-hour course combines four hours of classroom instruction with two hours of live-fire range training. Students will learn the fundamentals of handgun safety, operation, ammunition, marksmanship, and personal protection considerations before applying those skills on the range.

While not required, this course is strongly recommended for students planning to attend a Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit (CCW) course. The skills taught in this class provide a solid foundation for a more productive and enjoyable CCW training experience.
